23andMe | This feature has not been released yet.
23andMe has a huge user base of individuals over 50-years-old. Many of these users are less computer savvy and have a lot of difficulty finding information and features that they care about.
The solution: A simplified homepage pointing to features most sought-after by older customers
By reading through hundreds of pieces of feedback from our older customers and from talking to our customer care team, I narrowed down the most common points of frustration. Older users want to:
- Print their reports
- Be able to quickly access their reports
- Find new relatives
- Access their archived health reports that were on the old website
In addition, older customers often complained about the low visual contrast and the small font on our website. I took this feedback into consideration with the new design—the fonts are larger and heavier, making the content easier to read.
Also available tablet and mobile web
Many older customers use a tablet to access 23andMe.com. Therefore, it was imperative that this design was responsive.
